Young Eagles

The Experimental Aircraft Association Loren Hodge Chapter 274 holds chapter fundraisers and each event includes Young Eagles Flights (YEF) which are free flights for kids ages 8-17. 

The Young Eagle program is the largest youth aviation initiative and was designed to introduce kids to aviation. 

With over 85,000 EAA members and 35,000 volunteer pilots, EAA reached a major goal by flying the 1 millionth Young Eagle on January 17, 2004 flown by aviation legend and EAA member Gen. Chuck Yeager.
